Head of Financial Accounting

The Business:

Our client is an exciting and fast paced Private Equity backed global financial services business based in Cheshire who are targeting growth of 100% year on year. Our client is a recognised brand with a global presence in over 60 different countries offering bespoke financing solutions to develop a tailored approach to client's needs. Due to a recent $250m investment from one of the world's largest Private Equity houses our client are now seeking a Head of Financial Accounting.

The Role:

- Implementation of IFRS 9 and 15

- Preliminary review of IFRS 16

- Liaising with other departments to navigate the complex audit and consolidation

- Drafting disclosures of company statements in line with updated accounting standards

- Monitoring and ensuring compliance of new company transactions

- Preparing monthly consolidated accounts

- Responsible for reporting inclusive handling technical queries, including revenue recognition

- Management of the audit process

The Candidate:

- Extensive IFRS 9 or 15 exposure

- IFRS 16 (preferential not essential)

- Previous experience within financial services

- Experience of dealing with complex accounting queries

- Exposure to multi-currency

- Comfortable operating in an ever-changing environment

- Qualified Accountant ideally from a practice background

- Adept using Microsoft packages

- Experience using Caseware and Net-Suite (preferential not essential)
