Software Specialist with C/C++ experience for embedded microcontrollers

You will join a highly committed team and be responsible for the development, testing and validation of the new end-to-end systems under development or being planned for the future. You will oversee the development of complex reliable code on an ARM base microcontrollers, Renesas RL78 series microcontrollers along with embedded Linux controllers and you will take ownership of key areas of firmware development and testing. A high calibre DevOps specialist is required. You will need to have a good quality degree in a software or computing science discipline and at least 2/3 years’ experience with C/C++ for embedded micro controllers. You will need GIT source control experience and have a good understanding of hardware schematics and data sheets. Ideally the client would like experience with wireless protocols, knowledge of communications interface devices, automated testing and Agile/Scrum experience. As this new role is a key ingredient in the company’s digital growth strategy the resourcing is significant and there will be visibility at the highest levels.
