Senior Leadership Role on a Major Process Industry Raw Materials Manufacturing Site

Responsibilities covering Engineering, Capital Projects, CI, Control Systems & Process Safety

Based South West, UK

Base salary up to £80,000 plus very broad ranging benefits package including bonus and relocation assistance.

 

 

 

This is a key role within the senior management team of an established specialist materials manufacturing site which operates continuously and has a high level of automation throughout the raw material, processing and packaging operations.  As a leading site within a large international manufacturing group there is a high and ongoing investment programme which maximises efficiency and productivity alongside an adherence to the highest standards of health, safety and environmental management.  This position reports directly to the General Manager and carries responsibility for a team of specialist functional heads supporting the wide ranging technical aspects of operations and projects, ensuring that standards are maintained and that process efficiency and plant availability are maximised. You will also drive the Continuous Improvement programme which continuously addresses plant upgrades and improvement initiatives. A key focus will be to mentor, lead, motivate and create a high performing team. Ideal candidates will be degree qualified Chartered Chemical Engineers and with additional administrative or managerial qualifications such as an MBA.  You will have developed your career in world-class large-scale process industry raw materials manufacturing environments. You will also have demonstrable successful team leadership experience and a record of on time and in budget delivery of major investment programmes involving advanced plant technologies, controls and information systems together with experience of working with major equipment suppliers and consulting engineers.  The future prospects for this role are fuelled by the significant ongoing investment programme and the dominant market share held by this business together with the international spread of the parent group which has numerous other facilities and international interests.
