As the Account Director, you will oversee a team of AM's and report into the CSD. You will also be expected to help the more junior members of the client services team by designing and delivering workshops and helping with training sessions. In return for your hard work, you will be paid well; between £50k - £60k. Marketing & Commercial Director - Online B2C Subscription Business (StartUp/ScaleUp) - Remote Working (UK) - Gambling / Entertainment - £90,000-£110,000 + Performance Bonus The Company This business is the UK's Premier matched betting service providing advice to its 12,000+ paid subscribers on how to make risk free profit by taking advantage of bookmakers free bets and promotions. They business have developed their own in-house odds matching software which covers a range of different markets within sports betting. Matched Betting is a risk-free betting system. It works by betting on all outcomes of a particular event (to cover all eventualities) and leveraging free bets and bonuses to make a guaranteed profit regardless of what happens. Customers subscribing to them can make between £300 and £1500 per month without risk (if they put in the time and follow the advice). Their hefty subscriber base demonstrates that they are a trusted by their customers and their advice and tips are mathematically sound. Since starting in 2014, they have gone from a start-up, without funding, to a successful scale-up business that had a turnover of £5m in its second year of trading, with a very high profit margin. They have 10 employees who all work on a remote basis, 8 of which are full time. The business was born at University and aimed at students, with the intention of step by step guidance to make risk free profit. Since then the business has seen rapid growth and after an initial two years of incline, they have noticed the market substantially getting busier with other competitors. In order to keep the customer base strong and continuing YOY growth, the need arose for a senior Commercially / Marketing minded person to set out clear strategic growth plans. This role will replace an outgoing member of the senior team who have held this post for two years. The Role: A Commercial & Marketing Director is required to take a lead role in the organisation, allowing the business to have a sound commercial growth strategy which will be shaped through highly effective digital/online marketing. The core aim is to make sure value is added to their growth activities by identifying new commercial opportunities and managing marketing efforts. This means overseeing product development, identifying new market opportunities, determining the optimal pricing to balance profit with customer/client satisfaction, and directing marketing operations. The goal is to help the business maintain a consistent trajectory of growth, while avoiding obstacles that arise from a constantly shifting market. They are looking for someone who believes in the product and the impact it has had, and how it can grow in to the future. The successful candidate won't be afraid to be hands-on at times but will have access to external marketing agencies to manage. It is important that the successful candidate has had proven success and a positive impact in an subscription led business, through highly effective customer acquisition and commercial strategy. Considerable knowledge of the online gambling industry would also be preferred, but not essential. The role replaces someone who has held the post for two years and will be leaving.
