Head of Credit - Invoice Finance / Asset Based Lending - Manchester based £70 -80k plus benefits Our client is a leading financial organisation who are looking for a Head of Credit to run a small team of sanctioners and a deal structuring manager reporting into the Risk Director. In this role you will lead, manage and mentor a sanctioning team, act as the business' central point of contact for all matters associated with credit underwriting, and to create a dynamic and innovative credit function which balances sensible risk-focused decision-making alongside commercial ambition. You will be accountable to: To lead, manage and mentor a credit underwriting team. To act as the custodian of the business' Credit Policy ensuring decisions consider Policy requirements at all times. To own the credit approval process across the Invoice and Specialist Finance businesses and ensure that it is understood. Promote and demonstrate strong risk focus whilst ensuring an appropriate balance with commercial ambition. To ensure timely sanction of facilities within own mandate. To work collaboratively with colleagues across the business building strong relationships with new business and relationship management teams. To own and maintain ongoing responsibility for the quality of credit applications across the Invoice and Specialist Finance businesses. To act as primary owner of credit authorities / mandates and ensure that all business is sanctioned within mandate. To ensure training is provided to the business facilitating good quality credit applications and sound knowledge of the credit process. To sit as part of the IF & SF Risk Senior Leadership Team and contribute positively and collaboratively to that unit. Credit and Risk Director West Midlands To c.£100,000 per annum plus car allowance, pension, healthcare Our client is a leading provider of asset finance and leasing for the SME sector, specialising in proving innovative funding solutions for the purchase the full spectrum of assets from technology equipment through to cars, trucks and industrial equipment. As they continue to expand, they are keen to appoint an experienced credit and risk leader to drive the credit and risk strategy for the division. The role will have responsibility for all areas of credit risk including the following: Strategic responsibility to maintain the quality and quantity of new business written whilst the business grows commercially. Management, control and training of the credit analysis and collections management teams. Personally sanctioning larger value transactions. Managing the ongoing quality of the portfolio to identify potential risk issues. Driving the collections, recoveries and legal strategy. Due to the rapid expansion of the loan book, they are looking for a Credit Director to join their London based team. Responsibilities: Managing all credit risk aspects of the business Working with, challenging and developing the business development and analysis teams to achieve high quality review and analysis of SME lending applications Meeting clients to provide early structuring and credit appetite direction Producing high quality independent analysis and recommendations to credit committee Assisting with the production of documentation and taking of security and any other post sanction conditions, taking loans very quickly to drawdown Supporting the portfolio management team in any monitoring/problem management processes Recording data on lending applications and assess reliability of risk models within the bank Ensuring that the data used by the firm to assess its risks is fit for purpose in terms of quality, quantity and breadth Assisting with the collation and review of credit risk key risk Indicator data Experience: In depth knowledge and experience of SME cash flow based lending and financial analysis Strong experience of credit risk models associated with the analysis of SME clients Specialist SME sector and credit risk assessment/analysis techniques Experience in relation to analysis of leveraged, management buy-out/buy-in type transactions Deep knowledge of corporate structuring and covenant setting Knowledge of wider risks associated with full SME product lifecycle, including origination, optimisation, collections and recoveries Able to relate well to the front office/customers Experience of risk and control techniques, as applied to SME credit processes, including both the theory and application in practice Experience of dealing with clients in problem/recoveries situations Interested candidates should contact Keith Snow, CBC Resourcing Solutions or call
