ROLE- Head of Manufacturing Support LOCATION - South East of England TERM- Permanent SALARY- £60,000- £70,000 per annum dependant on experience (please advise) plus benefits My client is a large engineering design and manufacturing company and they are looking to take on an experienced Head of Manufacturing Support, on a permanent basis, in the South East of England. The Head of Manufacturing Support will ideally have the following attributes: Degree Qualification in Mechanical Engineering or similar with strong industry experience working in Mechanical Engineering Be a Green Belt lean practitioner as a minimum- Black Belt would be extremely desirable Have many years of experience working in a similar leadership/ managerial role working with multi-disciplinary engineering teams Have good project management experience and experience using project planning tools Knowledge of CAD software for design PFMEA experience Previous experience of doing Risk Assessments ideally BIW / Body in white experience within the Automotive sector - including weld jig tooling procedures Be well organised and able to work well under pressure Excellent communication skills The Head of Manufacturing Support role will involve: Taking responsibility for all manufacturing support activities within engineering Operating across a multi- departmental structure Measuring performance of the manufacturing support teams Managing the interface between the different departments - including Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance and Sales Executing strategic development of the Manufacturing Engineering department as the business develops long term Having an appreciation for different manufacturing organization business models Leading department activities that relate to developing new products, improving general production techniques and also modifying any existing designs too Resolving any problems using new techniques and technologies Approving budgetary requests Facilities management with regards to PPM scheduling If you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible, along with your availability and your salary expectation.

Job Title : Director of Building Services Commencement Date : As soon as possible. Location : Hampshire, although travel to London and Berkshire offices would be expected on a regular basis. Job Description: My client is a multi-disciplined consulting engineering practice, specialising in the protection of structures in secure environments. The successful candidate will be heading up a secure multi-disciplined team, working on international projects. The role would be to primarily develop/expand our small Building Services department in the secure specialist marketplace we operate. The company's services are focused on unusual, and often unique, built environments, therefore, the engineering requirements can be complex and technically challenging. Key Requirements: UK Security Clearance at DV level is a requirement - Clearance is unlikely to be obtained unless you are a UK National / British Citizen with a minimum of 5 years UK residency. Chartered Engineer; Essential Building services experience; Essential Excellent management and inter-personal skills; Strong business development skills; Excellent project delivery and report writing skills. Initially, and the successful candidate would be expected to familiarise themselves with our current projects, staff, clients, Quality Assurance System (QMS), security protocols, along with fee proposals and current management processes within the Building Services department. After the Probationary Period of 6-months, the candidate would take over responsibility for the performance and profitability of the department. At the end of your 6-month probationary period the successful candidate would produce a straightforward Business Expansion Plan for the following 12 months. The candidate would be expected to attend training to expand their knowledge of the Security Engineering Services we offer. This training would be multi-disciplined.
