Head of Systems Engineering Manchester This diverse role will give you the chance to take ownership of a range of technical projects and NPD activities, working on the design of automated industrial equipment which is used on a global scale. You will have four direct reports with a total responsibility of around 25 engineers. This will allow you to take ownership of all systems related activities playing a key role in consistently driving the continuous improvement of system reliability, product quality, cost reduction and team productivity across the department. Combining a technical approach you will also need to show strategic vison and development, working closely with other senior technical figures to make sure that the company maintain their position as the industry leaders within their niche field. Although a varied Systems Engineering background is needed you will ideally have a mechanical bias with the ability to drive forward teams of cross functional engineers. For this role we are looking for: - Extensive experience of working in a systems environment with a strong understanding of mechanical design and manufacturing processes. - FEA modelling experience with mechanical, thermal stress, and a basic understanding of electromagnetic principles would be desirable. - Strong leadership and project management experience with the ability to work with senior figures on compiling future strategy for the business.
