In this role you will be specifically focused on managing high profile projects delivering our Synaptic Software offering which includes ensuring the effective management of the requirements definition from product managers, solution architecture and delivery. It requires the management and oversight of all deliverables to time to budget to quality as well as ensuring that changes to Synaptic software and operating procedures are controlled through the FSS Change Control Process. You will be taking responsibility for co-ordinating customer facing responses in a professional manner. Based at our office in Whiteley and reporting directly to the Head of Project Managers, we are looking for someone to join the team who has the drive and skills to successfully plan and deliver change and projects in a dynamic and innovative Financial Services environment. You will have extensive experience of successful Software Project Delivery as well as a thorough grounding in Project Management techniques from idea inception through to product launch. Accountabilities & Deliverables: Define, agree and manage scope, costs and timescales for project delivery with key FSS stakeholders including the Senior Management Team (SMT), Product Managers, and Delivery Manager. Organising and running Project and Steering Boards internally and where appropriate with our clients, dealing with commercial conversations appropriately and working closely with product management to ensure successful deliveries. Manage the end to end processes for change controls for internal and external clients, ensuring that change controls are fully completed in accordance with the process, to an appropriate quality standard and submitted on time to clients Planning and Control of projects including creating and owning project plans, identifying key activities, milestones, dependencies and resources etc. required for project delivery. Budgetary management and reporting Risk and issue management along with appropriate action to mitigate risks and resolve issues. Regular formal and ad-hoc reporting to assist the SMT in the overall operational management of the delivery team. To co-ordinate all teams involved in project delivery and ensure each team has completed their assigned tasks required for successful project delivery. Key point of customer contact to make sure our customers are kept sufficiently updated on project progress and that they provide the required inputs in the required timelines. The person we are looking for will have the following skills and experience: Strong governance of the project, including excellent Communication Skills - both verbal and written, including presentations and project reporting. Comfortable delivering updates to the SMT. Confident and assertive communicator Proven track record in managing teams and overseeing software deliveries. Excellent negotiating/networking and influencing skills. Results driven but flexible and pragmatic, ability to manage competing priorities and customer requests in a dynamic environment. Quickly able to build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders. Accreditation in appropriate methodologies e.g. PRINCE2, ITIL and comfortable operating in agile and more formal environments dependent on the project need.
