Description The Head of Operations will assume overall management accountability for operational performance. Areas of responsibility include Production Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Stores and Logistics, Customer Hub, Quality, Health and Safety, Client Services, Supply Chain, Planning, Project Management and Facilities. To deliver operational excellence and financial performance by directing and managing functional resources whilst ensuring that customer requirements are satisfied and client's business plans are achieved. In conjunction with peers in the leadership team and across the business, to develop, propose and implement Operational Key Performance Indicators, (KPI's), and business processes which will improve overall performance and control across the key areas of process, quality, cost, delivery, responsiveness and safety, health and environment. Working knowledge in leading teams as many of the following areas as possible: project management, budget management, manufacturing technologies and processes (including lean manufacturing and process variation reduction, i.e. Six Sigma), materials management, materials planning systems (MRP / ERP), order generation process logic and supply chain management (production planning, scheduling, purchasing, sales inventory, supplier selection and management, inventory control, logistics, stockroom operations and shipping / receiving). Excellent communications skills when interacting with colleagues, senior management, subordinates, customers and other stakeholders. The ability to listen and to communicate complex concepts confidently yet sensitively at all levels.
