A Leading FMCG business are looking for an Operations Director to run their site in the Lancashire area. Client Details A leading FMCG business manufacturing brands known around the world, the business is highly profitable and has further plans for continued growth based upon recent market success. The business has sites around the world with a UK HQ. The business in Lancashire are a specialist FMCG business within the food/drink market and have been well established with an excellent site culture. The business requires some change and improvement to maximise its already successful operation. Description The Operations Director will be responsible for all of the busy FMCG operation including logistics and provide leadership for all personnel on site. The Operations Director will be a strategic individual and actively participate in driving the business forward in all areas. In addition you will focus operational performance to meet the strategic goals and recommend efficiency and improvements across the operation. You will be responsible for implementing relevant performance indicators to improve results and solve problems, generate solutions and ensure decisions are engaged with key stakeholders. You will be an advocate of continuous improvement and manage capital expenditure, ensuring all activities are in line with FMCG and quality legislation. Profile The ideal candidate will be educated to Degree level or equivalent with a proven track record within the FMCG, food/drink industry. You will have a strong knowledge of leadership, ideally at Operations Director level. In addition the successful candidate will have knowledge of MRP sytems and project management. The candidate must have strong leadership and communication skills, be results orientated and have the ability to lead and solve complex manufacturing challenges. Description The successful candidate for the Business Unit Director role at my client's site in London will fulfil the following responsibilities - Provide tactical and strategic guidance and be responsible for developing and implementing the Business Plan.
