The British Business Bank is a unique and exciting new institution with the objective to make finance markets work better for UK businesses. We have around £4bn of capital resources and operate as a wholesale association in a wide range of financial services markets ranging from bank lending to venture capital. Established in 2014, the business has grown year upon year and currently we employ around 250 people, split across three offices in London and Sheffield. We are looking to appoint a Digital and Direct Marketing Director to oversee the successful design, build, launch and ongoing promotion of our digital Information Hub. The successful individual will take responsibility for leading, managing and overseeing proposition on improving the digital content. You will be liaising with Product and Communication teams to achieve synergies in messaging for both off and online and ultimately driving income. With responsibility for direct customer acquisition activities to drive interest and data capture for the SUL product, and moving forward could oversee other direct marketing activities, you will also be responsible for the optimisation and improvement of all the BBB web real estate and to deliver content marketing across various digital assets that help to achieve business objectives, supplemented by a range of marketing activities to drive high quality traffic and engagement. Duties & Responsibilities: Overseeing the design of the web build, content, digital products and hooks for the digital Information Hub Overseeing the performance and ongoing development of the corporate websites and delivering content marketing activities that help to achieve business objectives Working with the appointed agencies to work up promotional strategies including digital marketing, SEO and ATL media spend through proprietary and third-party channels and platforms Managing internal resources and external partners (business groups, local delivery partners) to deliver a BBB branded content and media rich digital Information Hub which achieves the Information Strategy objectives within the defined timescales Maintaining and improving the overall performance of the digital Information Hub as well as other BBB website real estate and leveraging potential in terms of SERPs (thereby driving visitor volumes), optimisation (thereby maximising conversion) and visitor experience (thereby increasing engagement and satisfaction) Identifying and working with relevant resources to produce weekly and monthly summaries for the Executive Committee and the Board regarding website and content marketing performance. Line management of Senior Manager of Campaigns (Direct to SMEs), whose duties include and line management of the Partnerships manager Experience & Skills Required: Extensive experience in a similar marketing role, with a strong focus on digital A demonstrably successful track record of delivering significant projects and their successful promotion, preferably in a commercial enterprise Able to demonstrate the ability to think creatively and deliver high-performing content for use across websites, social channels and online marketing campaigns Able to successfully use SEM (organic and paid), affiliate, display, mobile and other media channels to acquire quality leads and drive high levels of awareness Extensive experience of website content management systems (CMS), HTML5 and managing corporate websites Clear understanding of content generation and website management techniques Significant experience of Conversion Rate Optimisation techniques and technologies Expert-level understanding of Google Analytics Our benefits package includes 30 days holiday, pension scheme (employer contributions 15%), life assurance, private medical care insurance, performance related bonus and child care vouchers.
