THOMAS Recruitment are exclusively recruiting on behalf an experienced pharmaceutical Manufacturer. Our client is seeking a Head of Manufacturing who will be taking on the responsibility of production. The successful candidate would require a Pharmaceutical background and strong demonstrable experience in Manufacturing and Production. Must have an ability to manage through leadership, empowerment and delegation with a culture of striving continuous improvement, quantum charge, and motivate others to follow. Main purpose of the job: Working in collaboration with Engineering department, QC department, Production department, Dispensary and Planning department Be accountable for the Production environments in respect of Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and People. Ensuring all bulks are manufactured in accordance with cGMP and made in accordance with the manufacturing plan Drive continuous improvement and report on meaningful KPIs Be accountable for and support the writing of departmental budgets Prepare for and fulfil training and development plans for all staff within remit. Scope of job: Responsible for managing a team of up to 10 process operators across 3 shifts Involved with customer visits and production issues as required. Responsible for the authorization of orders for factory consumables, capital expenditure (within limits) and maintenance/repairs in conjunction with Engineering. Use of PC in preparation of presentation, costings and reports. Maintenance of relevant SOPs, Work Instructions, training records and maintenance records Day to day management and periodical appraisal of direct reports.
