An independent music group with interests in recordings, publishing, distribution and management is looking for a highly experienced individual to come and fully manage their finance department. With a dual reporting line to the MD of the company you will be working for the accounting services company that sits in house at this thriving music company and manage a team of 2 people. You will ensure the smooth running of the finance operations to include provision of commercial analysis for decision making to management and contributing to the growth of the company. Key Responsibilities Financial Performance and Analysis Deliver Monthly Management Reporting and Analysis Prepare Annual Budget and Reforecasting with Group FD and Management Create Working Capital Management and Cash Flow Forecast Reports Statutory Reporting & Audit Process Project Appraisals and Project Reporting Commercial Analysis for business decision making Business Partner to Management, A&R, Marketing and Business Affairs Accounting & Systems Maintaining accurate and robust financial records for Group Prepare returns for Corporation Tax (external advisor) , WHT, PAYE/NI VAT Financial Approval and Authorisation Manage & monitor Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable Manage Treasury including foreign exchange Manage Royalty process Develop and Implement Group Policy, Systems and Procedures Team Management Management and Development of Finance Team, including training. Requirements: Strong technical and commercial accounting experience ideally gained within the Music Industry experience, particularly copyright and royalties. Commercially and Financially aware with good judgement Good Academics and ideally a Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA), QBE with extensive music experience will be considered Self-starter, team player, organised and able to prioritise and deliver to deadlines Professional, good communicator, confident in dealing with management teams Strong Excel skills including business modelling Quick Books Accounting package experience advantageous Strong personality with the ability to push back on management, being able to influence and challenge others (including senior management) accordingly;

Newly created role within a highly entrepreneurial digital media group to assist with a number of acquisitions and business growth/rollout internationally. Reporting into, and supporting, the CFO this position has been created following the acquisition of a new business that will now be replicated on an international scale, creating new businesses along the way and then analysing for sustainability and growth. To facilitate the continued expansion on both an organic and acquisitions basis there is a need to go to the city to raise cash to build up its investment fund. This role will consist of the following: Assist with preparation for gaining capital/funding from banks and investors; Prepare presentations for funding and stakeholder requirements; Due diligence of potential acquisitions; New business venture analysis, stress testing etc Roll out of new business ventures or existing into new territories; Market & scenario based analysis; Extensive Modelling. To be suitable for the role you will have the following skills/background: Ideally fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) or MBA; Experience gained within Corporate finance, M&A, Venture Capitalist/Private Equity or Management Consultancy; Advanced Excel and analytical skills Experience of raising funding/capital would be a distinct advantage Exceptional communication and presentation skills; Ability to negotiate, influence and drive/implement change; Ability to work within a highly entrepreneurial/high growth environment.

A leading Artist Management and TV Production Company, require a Head of Marketing and Digital to lead a team with 8 direct reports on a permanent basis. With offices in the UK and the USA, the successful candidate will be responsible for all of the businesses marketing & digital services in the UK, and they will work alongside the Creative Director on creative design and strategy. The role is varied, and embodies Marketing, Digital, Financial, Legal and Admin duties. So what is the ideal candidate looking like? A passion for entertainment and comedy is a must, and you will be somebody who has experience working across the digital and marketing spectrum within an entertainment brand - this could be a TV company, a production company, Broadcaster, a Record Label, etc. In this role, you will do everything from managing the social channels of the client's acts, to leading the digital video strategy. You will also become the main point of contact for future digital opportunities including potential for apps, new forms of broadcasting and new social platforms. You should have strong project management skills, and be comfortable working on marketing campaigns for both Live projects - such as national tours featuring comics from their roster - and TV projects. With this in mind, commercial experience in selling "units", or products, such as tickets, records or DVD's, is required. The successful candidate will also have proven experience in harnessing long term relationships - for example, an element of the role is working alongside the Marketing & Brand Manager in the development of long term relationships with major ticket agents, as well as supplier relationships.
