We have a contract opportunity to cover a period of circa 7 months, for a stand-alone role as a Head of Legal and Business Affairs from a Media Agency / IP background. Coming from a large Media Agency, with a background as a commercial lawyer, working closely with business stakeholders, you have a sound knowledge of Media Contracts, Intellectual Property and Media Planning and Buying. We are not looking for a Generalist Commercial Lawyer, you must have experience in a Media Agency with the experience mentioned above.. This is a standalone role, liaising with the business, supporting bid, tender and deal processes as well as the wider business for Licensing, Sponsorship and Advertising & Creative contracts. A commercial role reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer of the Group, working across the main holding company as well as other businesses under the umbrella.

An award winning Media Group requires a Group Financial Controller to join their rapidly growing business and take full responsibility for the day to day running of their finances. This is a highly creative business with interests that include Production, Animation, Branding and Events and having recently experienced positive growth there is now a need to expand the finance team. Reporting into the CFO, this role will manage a small but growing finance team to manage the day to day finances whilst also working with the business to ensure profitability whilst maintaining the highest quality of service provided. This position will evolve over the next 12 months, where initially you will be required to reshape the team, financial processes and implement a new system and then become more commercially involved with the various business units & stakeholders whilst consolidating the accounts. This is a real blend of commercial & technical accounting and requires a strong team manager. The Role: Manage, train and develop a growing team Overall responsibility for the production and consolidation monthly/annual accounts Develop annual budgets, financial business plans, and implement a rolling forecast process Support CFO with potential mergers and acquisition projects Establish & implement financial reporting systems, ensuring compliance with regulations & legislation Prepare the monthly management information pack with performance commentary; Manage the cashflow, with quarterly forecasts and annual reports Manage multiple stakeholder relationships including various department heads, banks, auditors etc Liaise with bank to include setting up borrowing facilities and tender bonds Define and re-engineer the accounting policies and processes, and implement to ensure a more efficient month end close Ensure compliance with FRS102 and manage the transition to full IFRS Manage the tax reporting, statutory reporting requirements Manage the treasury function, Payroll and liaise with company secretary The Person: Fully qualified accountant, (Ideally ACA but ACCA & CIMA or equivalent will be considered), 5 + years PQE Relevant experience gained within a creative agency or media company (Knowledge of WIP, Royalties, production/project accounting, licensing would be a distinct advantage Advanced Excel and systems Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills Highly motivated, deadline orientated and able to multi-task Strong knowledge of IFRS Solid team management skills with proven examples of development and training Experience of working in a company with multiple operating divisions, locations and legal entities Ability to drive and implement change, ensuring everyone is on board and consequent effectiveness Strong presentation and reporting skills.

A successful and innovative marketing services and strategic consultancy is looking for a Financial Controller to run the day to day running of the finance operations while providing support to deliver strategic financial business support.
