You will have an advanced commercial awareness of customer service needs, strong Underwriting experience within the Warranty or Commercial market. Your main responsibilities will be underwriting analysis, you will be a key link regarding wholesale pricing red lines such as claims ratios, profits. You will have expert ability to lead and work within a leadership team, excellent communication skills, manage production of business cases, pricing both new business and amendments, pricing premiums, excesses, commissions. Ability to lead new team in dealing with complaints, fraud, call centre, data analysis, looking after customers. Delegated Underwriting Authority Auditor - to £60,000 A fantastic opportunity to join a global leader in the provision of specialist accountancy, tax, consulting and auditing services. The role: You will be a key member of the specialist Delegated Underwriting Authority Review team, working with fellow professionals to provide support to the Partners/Directors in delivering Coverholder / TPA audit reviews for Lloyd's and London Market clients. Client satisfaction is of paramount importance and you will be required to demonstrate excellent communication and written skills, and an ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. Responsibility for undertaking Coverholder / TPA audits. -Preparation: including communication with relevant parties regarding scheduling, information required and file selection for the audit; -Implementation: including performing offsite audits/inspections (UK and overseas) and documenting review findings in line with client requirements; and -Post audit/inspection: including collating review findings and query responses and preparing and finalising reports for clients. Skills, knowledge and experience required: ·Experience of leading and delivering Coverholder / TPA audits on behalf of Lloyd's Managing Agents and London Market Insurance Companies; ·Experience of following an audit scope as outlined by the Lloyd's and Company Market; ·Ability to identify issues through sound analysis and application of commercial acumen in all situations; ·As this position involves client contact, you must be able to present a professional image to the firms clients and any third parties; ·Excellent written and verbal presentation skills required; ·Ability to express ideas with authority and conviction throughout verbal and written communication; ·Ability to develop new initiatives and methodologies. Financial Controller - Interim/Perm - £75,000 to c£120,000 City based Lloyds Broker is seeking to recruit a Financial Controller from an Insurance background. The role will probably commence on a 6 month FTC with a view to permanent employment. Overall Role: Responsible for; providing monthly financial monitoring of the overseas operations, provide commentary on management accounting information of the Overseas operations to senior executives , to work with local management on the budget preparation, manage P&L and cash forecasting process for the overseas operations, identify potential revenue enhancement and cost saving opportunities in the overseas operations, make regular visits to the overseas operations, manage legal work including shareholder agreements, resolve accounting and tax issues, setting up new ventures, financial evaluation of new opportunities, optimising overseas tax structures, ensuring Overseas operations comply with Group policies, and to provide advice to overseas subsidiaries as and when needed. Key Accountabilities/Core Competence Indicators: Financial Reporting ·Ensures compliance with statutory and regulatory financial reporting standards. ·Ensure that Group companies are following group accounting policies and the accounts comply with UK GAAP. ·Provides financial information for Compliance as and when required. Management Reporting ·In conjunction with local management provide commentary and further analysis to the Group Finance Director and CEO - International in respect of the monthly results of overseas operations. ·Review and agree International Limited monthly pack with the Group Management Accountant Financial/ Strategic Planning ·Manage the annual strategy planning and budget cycle for all overseas operations in conjunction with the Group Management Accountant. ·Develops realistic financial targets with local management, CEO - International and Group Finance Director. ·Manage cash flow requirements of overseas investments and develop/present additional funding papers for consideration at the Board. Operational Management ·Monitors adherence of Overseas operations to Group policies ·Liaises with internal and external auditors to manage both the internal and external audits to resolve audit issues that may arise from time to time, both before and after audits. Liaises with the Audit Committee on external audit issues in respect of overseas operations as necessary. Finance Area ·Ensures that the relevant parts of the International Financial Policies and Procedures Manual are kept up to date. ·Participates in the overall management of the Finance Department. ·Ensures all relevant Companies House (or international equivalent) filing requirements are satisfied Client Money Management information reporting ·Ensure that UK standards of client money management are applied appropriately across international operations ·Assists in ensuring client money MI is produced for the Accountable Executive in line with instructions; produced accurately and in a timely fashion Desirable Experience: Qualified Accountant.
