My client, a global FS organisation is seeking a Head of HR to lead the HR department of 11 based in Newhaven. This is a newly created role following an organisational restructure and is an exciting time to join the company and really lead it forward into new areas. Reporting into the Board, duties will include: * Leading the HR team on a number of significant projects including the roll out of new HR policies and procedures in line with the new business strategy, * Stakeholder Management - attending Senior Leadership Team meetings and providing HR commentary. * Leading on legislative HR projects for the business including the Apprenticeship levy, GDPR, Gender pay gap reporting etc. * Acting as an ambassador for all HR activity, driving standards and leading on L&D and change. * Managing HR Manager & Regional HRBP - developing them to grow inline with the company growth plans. * Leading on escalated ER cases if applicable. The ideal candidate will be CIPD qualified, have substantial Operational & Strategic HR experience gained at a Senior Level and have the proven ability to manage stakeholders and deliver the company strategy from an HR perspective. This role provides leadership to the team, manages the organisation's efficient and cost effective talent acquisition activities ensuring the reputation of the Talent Acquisition (TA) team (building and continuing this view) as a responsive and ultimately proactive partner to the organisation. The Head of Talent Acquisition will be accountable for ensuring identified succession plans are managed and proactively promoted as a source to fill internal and international roles within the organisation. The role has Global reach and requires regular liaison and communication with the senior managers in the organisation and in our National Organisations (NOs). You would be required to undertake international travel as part of this role. Selection of Duties • Manages the Talent Acquisition team (3 FTEs) to deliver an excellent service across the organisation. • Ensures that all recruitment campaigns, from authorisation to engagement • Ensures in all cases the experience of any candidate in contact with the company is a positive one and one they would recommend to others. • Ensures a robust pipeline approach is adopted by line management and the TA team for mission critical and key roles across the company (and where agreed, National Offices). • Works collaboratively with the HRM DRM/DRM management to ensure TA support in relation to the strategy and development of the required platform in which the internal and external emergency roster works robustly and has the capacity to grow etc. • Supports TA Manager (Grants) with Grants internal management with respect to Grants resourcing, adoption of any changes in strategy/approach etc. • Regular communication with colleagues in the National Offices, to ensure continued pipeline management of grants personnel, identify and solve any roadblocks that may affect grants recruitment timelines. • Takes the lead in promoting collaborative working and knowledge sharing within the Talent Acquisition team. Essential Skills • Senior recruitment specialist with experience of working in a global environment with International Recruiting experience • Good working knowledge of UK/EU labour law for recruitment purposes • Good working knowledge of UK Immigration regulations • Knowledge of talent acquisition trends and best practice • Strong reporting and Analysis skills • Able to coach and train line managers in recruitment processes and practices • Able to lead and develop an effective and highly efficient team Desirable Skills • Specific knowledge of the non-profit sector • Knowledge of recruitment in emergencies • Knowledge of Donor funded programmes (USAID, DFID) and the differences in recruitment practice. • Additional language skills (French and/or Spanish) Reed Specialist Recruitment Limited is an employment agency and employment business
