MacKenzie King are delighted to be recruiting a Financial Controller for a leading business in Bury St Edmunds. Reporting into the Finance Director this role will contribute to improving financial processes and controls and developing the existing reporting to support both commercial analysis for the local management and standardised group reporting. Managing a team you will be responsible for ensuring reporting deadlines are achieved with a high standard of accuracy and understanding. Duties and responsibilities will include: - Hands on responsibility for all aspects of UK Finance including management reporting, treasury management, tax compliance, external audit process, budgeting and forecasting. - Preparation of monthly board packs to produce European wide reporting - Management of the budget and forecasting process, reviewing and challenging management submissions and preparing individual entity and group consolidated budget. - Driving improvements in the quality and provision of management information and financial controls - Providing strong leadership and management of the finance team ensuring company culture is adopted and supported. You will be a qualified accountant with proven team management and leadership skills. Experience within distribution, ERP systems and stock accounting would be preferred but not essential. MacKenzie King are delighted to be recruiting a Financial Controller role for a well established Manufacturing organisation in Ipswich. As Financial Controller you will supervise and control the accounting function within this large international group. Reporting into the Managing Director and Group Finance, duties will be varied to include: • Ensure corporate budgeting processes are carried out and updated • Developing analytical and forecasting models (P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow) • Undertake analytical accounting, by cost center, profit center, etc. • Ensure calculation of unit costs • Calculate and analyse KPIs • Proactively provide local and Group management with accurate and relevant information • Supervise, develop and mentor a financial assistant • Supervise the preparation of month end accounts and VAT returns • Oversee the preparation of year end statutory accounts • Manage the audit process and liaise with external advisors • Stock valuations on a monthly basis • Monitor cash flows, accounts, and other financial transactions • Ensure the completion of bank and balance sheet reconciliations • Ensure that all the company's financial practices are in line with statutory regulations and legislation • Ensure that robust financial systems and processes are in place This is a unique opportunity for someone to play a key role in managing the finances of this £20M+ Turnover operation. The salary is £50-55k + Car Allowance + Bens.
