Ruby Group are looking for a Group Financial Controller to join a well-established marketing company in South-East London. The position is a maternity cover starting in February and reporting to the Finance Director. Your duties will be as followed: - Duties/Responsibilities: Overseeing preparation of monthly management accounts for Group submission Review and consolidation of monthly management accounts for the client's international companies Preparation of monthly forecast for all companies in conjunction with account managers, international heads, Finance Director HR Manager and other key staff. Co-ordination of the annual budget process for all group companies. Preparation of weekly cash flow forecasts for group submission Management of group working capital Providing financial information to key management as and when required, including sales updates, variance analysis and sensitivity analysis Management and performance appraisal of the finance team including sales ledger team, purchase ledger team, financial accountant, finance assistant and international projects accountant, (6 staff in total). Ensuring compliance with all applicable taxes and duties including VAT, payroll taxes and import duties. Review and approval of monthly payroll. Developing and implementing appropriate financial controls throughout the business including appropriate authorisation limits. Co-ordinating the audit process, and being the first point of contact with auditors. Working with client and sales teams to improve the results of the business, eg maximising gross margin, improving cash flow. The skills and experience you need: Commercial mindset and approach ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified Up to date knowledge of IFRS Experience in preparing monthly management accounts Experience of working in a multi-currency environment, including multi-currency consolidation desirable. Experience in managing, mentoring and appraising staff Pro-active approach and positive attitude Strong written and verbal communication skills. Good excel skills

The role is suitable for a Big 4 ACA (ICAEW) trained candidate with at least 3-5 years PQE with post qualified telecommunications industry exposure. The role is suitable for a Big 4 ACA (ICAEW) trained candidate with at least 3-4 years PQE ideally with post qualified industry exposure. The role includes complex, methodical excel focused multi-entity international consolidations. While there will be systems in place the successful applicant will need to have a grasp of what is happening manually behind the system and identify and address risks while informing the business of any red flags that could have a negative impact. Other aspects will include management of the month end close and consolidation process which includes ownership of the timelines and an understanding of how IFRS rules affect the Balance Sheet, P&L and Cashflow entries. Previous experience of manually producing monthly IFRS and management consolidation is key while there will be an opportunity to contribute to the ongoing consolidation automation project. Ruby Group are looking for a EMEA Financial Controller to join a listed business located in Central London. Reporting to the Finance Director and Managing Director your responsibilities will be to supervise a team of 5 qualified accountants and have overall responsibility for timely reporting to the group in accordance with UK GAAP and IFRS. Producing a full set of monthly consolidated management accounts with variance analysis and commentaries. Financial budgeting and forecasting. Working closely with the commercial controller to improve forecasting, reporting time scales and quality of management information. Cash flow and working capital management, validation of commercial models, stat accounts and tax submissions. You will be working closely with country finance managers to ensure statutory compliance, FX management. Order to cash management, CAPEX management and responsible for signing of the balance sheet ensuring all liabilities and risks are covered. The ideal applicant will have a professional qualification in either ACCA, CIMA or ACA and have at least 3 yeast post qualified experience ideally gained whilst working in a listed business. EMEA experience is essential or experience working within an international business. Candidates that have outsourcing, PoS and Retail experience will have an advantage.
