An exciting opportunity has become available for a Chief Accountant within a company based in the heart of the City of London operating in the Oil and Gas sector. Joining a large team, this is a technical role with management responsibilities, requiring candidates to review and do. Role Responsibilities - Supervising/managing a team of 3 qualified accountants IFRS accounting and reporting for several legal entities Reviewing journal entries such as accruals, provisions, intercompany invoicing etc. Monthly reporting Prepare all statutory postings required under local GAAP Be the main contact for external auditors, internal auditors and outsourcing partners Prepare statutory financial statements Oversee tax compliance Ensure compliance with group accounting standards Be the key driving force behind the standardisation of accounting processes, recording of transactions and cost centre structuring for all legal entities Reconcile annual legal entity reporting between IFRS and local GAAP Assist CFO and Finance Manager with additional reporting Drive standardisation of accounting processes, recording of transaction, chart of accounts and cost centre structure Candidate Requirements - ACA qualified (or equivalent) Team management experience Knowledge and experience using ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle Experience in completing financial reports for statutory reporting Sector/industry experience is preferred Team player Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
