A dynamic technology SME has a vacancy for an experienced Finance Manager (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) to support the Finance Director & business growth. Based in central London, this established business has extensive client base of global corporate brands. The Finance Manager role is a key leadership position. Responsibilities: Management of the London accounts function, ensuring it runs smoothly and that all issues are identified, addressed and/or escalated as appropriate. Preparing and submitting the monthly management reporting pack, which includes detailed commentary on variances and identifying unusual movements/areas that require further investigation. Reviewing payroll by working with the HR Manager and the outsourced provider, ensuring that it is accurate, and meeting the deadlines for submission and payment. Reviewing financial controls and processes, and making improvements as and when required. Preparing audit schedules and leading on the year-end audit. Assisting with the year-end consolidation and tax works. Providing support and preparing ad hoc reports to support the other business functions. Managing a team of five, including carrying out appraisals, training etc. Assisting in the preparation of annual budgets and monitoring activity on a regular basis. Providing support to our International offices on an ad hoc basis and reviewing monthly reporting. Main Responsibilities: Day to day responsibility for the finance department ensuring continued accuracy and timeliness of reporting, whilst maintaining a strong control environment Improving the inter-relationship of the business systems within the group Building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders Assisting HR and other departments within the Group Preparation of Group Management Reports Review of the balance sheet position each month Ownership of the annual budget and forecast processes, ensuring accuracy of forecasts and production of commentary that explains in detail the forecast performance of the group and the inherent risks and opportunities Management of the Banking Relationship and maintenance of the rolling 12-month cashflow forecast Control of the Statutory Reporting, annual audit and preparation of tax returns, including overseeing group payroll Management and continual development of KPI reporting, including regular meetings with the commercial departments to generate KPI's and market data to support sales and marketing departments Create commentary around the KPI's that add insight to inform strategic decision making Evaluate plans to continually enhance and integrate the business systems of the group Qualifications & Person Spec: Highly numerate and a high level of accuracy/attention to detail, whilst also having the ability to step back and see the bigger picture Good communication and interpersonal skills.
