My client is an international business now looking to find an articulate, bright and technically strong Finance Manager for a newly created position within their sizeable finance function in Kent. Managing a small team in the UK, this role will take responsibility for delivering management accounts and acting as a key contact between the UK and oversea subsidiaries. Key responsibilities to include: · Production of monthly Management Accounts for different business units · Lead the delivery of timely and accurate monthly financial reporting, tracking the company's position · Continuous approach to reviewing and improving processes and controls, ensuring the control framework is adequate and relevant improvements made · Ensuring IFRS standards are adhered to and any relevant changes made where appropriate · Preparing annual budgets and contributing to overall strategic plans · Production of detailed KPI reporting, with commentary and analysis · Preparation and delivery of corporation tax returns, VAT and financial statements Candidates will be formally qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with strong commercial and technical accounting abilities. You'll be naturally able to build relationships quickly, both with finance and non finance staff, to ensure that deadlines are met. A self-starter and not needing micro-managing, this role will suit an individual that enjoys business partnering across a complex organisation. Occasional overseas travel to other sites does form part of this opportunity but will be infrequent. My client is a leading, brand name employer now looking to recruit a Finance Manager following a period of prolonged success and increased market share. Working within a central finance team, this role will work with a Divisional Finance Director to provide both technical interpretation and sound commercial judgement across a variety of business areas. • Assisting in development of financial strategy • Preparation of P&Ls and forecasts, with enhanced reporting and analysis • Ensure corporate reporting requirements and deadlines are met • Preparing and monitoring various financial models • Development of statutory and management accounting controls • Improve systems, internal processes and models for financial control Applications are sought from fully qualified candidates, with a strong preference on a practice trained background and / or a large, complex industry background. This is an all-encompassing role which will not only cover Finance but HR, ICT, Facilities and Administration. You will need to have experience as a member of a Senior Management team along with experience and/or knowledge of schools or education finance, HR and other aspects of education administration would be desirable but is not essential. You will need to have knowledge and experience of financial management systems as well as experience of leading and managing budgeting and reporting processes in an organisation. Stamina and a sense of humour are a must! The Academy uses both PS Financials and Sage 50 Payroll, experience with both would be beneficial but not essential.
