DESCRIPTION The Senior Accountant will report to the Director of UK Funds Services and will be responsible for managing the accounting and reporting function within the department. This is a new role within the business line. The role will be to ensure Financial statements are prepared in accordance with IFRS or local GAAP and completed and filed within the contractual and statutory timeframes for all clients. They will also ensure that monthly/quarterly management accounts where applicable are completed and sent to the client within the agreed timeframe. The role will include oversight of the existing finance personnel and provide support and guidance as required. They will also support the Director in the development of the platform and ensure client's expectations are continually met. A qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or ACA) with previous experience within the Funds industry is essential. The individual will be highly motivated and focused on the continued development of the Funds Services platform and displays values consistent with the business. RESPONSIBILITIES ? Bookkeeping and preparation of management accounts for special purpose companies and closed ended fund clients ? Preparation of annual financial statements under UK GAAP and IFRS for special purpose companies and closed ended fund clients ? Liaising with auditors ? Preparation of UK VAT returns ? Preparation of quarterly NAV calculations ? Experience of consolidations, including subsidiaries reporting in foreign currencies would be beneficial ? Bank payment processing duties including collating of payment documentation, requesting missing information, inputting of payment instructions, and electronic filing once processed ? Oversight of existing finance staff ? Experience in a day to day client facing role essential SKILLS / EXPERIENCE The candidate will need to demonstrate the desire to provide excellent client service in the face of conflicting demands and tight reporting deadlines. ? Time management, organizational ability, communication skills, diligence and accuracy of work are essential in this role. ? The ability to work effectively as part of a team. ? The ability to be flexible, pro-active and prioritize in order to meet deadlines within the context of a demanding workload. ? Desire to continuously improve and streamline processes to maximize efficiency and work smarter. ? ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualified. ? Role Purpose *This role holder, supporting the Head of Cost & Investment, is responsible for providing Investments strategic focused support to the Global CFO and Global Head of Business Performance and ensures consistency and adoption of policies, processes, governance and reporting across all financial reporting. This includes liaison with and direction of Senior & Executive Management across the business and creation of information for use at Executive Management forums, including Stakeholder Management in Finance. Specifically covering the following aspects: · Tracking and reporting of Investments spend within Direct Costs · Tracking and reporting of Investments spend within Indirect Costs, including linkage with Direct Cost Investments · Defining and implementation of standard policy and methodology for Investments tracking · Preparation for and follow up from a number of executive and management committees, covering Costs management, Direct and Indirect · Project Management of ad-hoc assignments. · Build and implement framework for Benefits forecasting, tracking and realisation · Development of insightful and forward-looking Management Information, providing value to wider organisation as part of Finance Digitisation journey *Guide delivery to business case and prioritization of Investments spend. Key Accountabilities Impact on Business · Support performance management to the AOP, and identifying improvement opportunities across all aspects of the business. · Driving efficiency throughout organization supporting achievement of annual plan and positioning for long-term · Review / challenge financials, Direct and Indirect Costs (eg AOP, targets, actuals) · Ensure cost drivers are identified, challenged and managed efficiently *Ensuring Global savings & control initiatives are we well communicated and coordinated with the regional finance teams. Customers / Stakeholders · Interface with Global Functions Finance to drive reporting updates and delivery to plan · Build relationship with regional cost teams to drive execution and planned delivery globally · Liaison with Group Planning and Cost teams in reporting and providing commentary and insight on financial results and key operational drivers *Key contact with multiple investment stakeholders, tracking and monitoring spend, delivery and benefits. Leadership & Teamwork · Provide a professional representation of the Business Finance team · Proactively engage and coordinate activity where duplication or cross over may exist · Leader in driving adoption and wider usage of Finance digitisation tools across organisation · Influence greater team communication and collaboration. Qualifications Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications *This role requires an individual who can demonstrate strength and experience in the following areas: *Strong analytical skills with a commercial bias. Investigative mindset. *Significant experience within financial services industry. *Proven finance track record; functionally, operationally and technically. *Experience in senior Cost, MI or FP&A roles with regular interaction with senior management both inside and outside of Finance *Ability to lead and influence across the Group *Proven ability to articulate complex issues concisely and in simple language to support problem analysis *Outstanding relationship management, collaboration and influencing skills *High level of personal drive and motivation to ensure delivery of a broad range of outputs simultaneously *Demonstrated frequent exposure to senior Finance and non-finance staff *Strong knowledge of the external environment - regulatory, political, competitors etc Advantage Resourcing is a service driven recruitment consultancy.

EMEA Project Manager(Retail)- Reading-Contract until 30th June 2019. Advantage resourcing is seeking a EMEA Project Manager (Retail) for a Major Global Technology Company based in Reading. The contract will run until 30th June 2019 and the salary is £60,000- £72,283 per annum (Paye). Please note that the candidate has the flexibility to operate through Umbrella/Limited for this contract.
