About the role We are recruiting a programme manager who will manage and ensure successful delivery of a programme of integrated projects in support of business strategies and objectives related to the Business Systems The programme manager will work with sponsors, product owners, business change managers, project managers, development and support teams across multiple divisions, geographies, role types and seniority to deliver the programme outcomes The programme manager will be working with people from all levels within the Press - up to and including C-Suite Typical Accountabilities / Key Result areas Key activities, key result areas and personal attributes include: Overall management of the programme Working with the programme sponsor and key stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives and successful delivery of programme outcomes Planning and designing the programme and pro-actively monitoring it's overall progress, resolving issues and initiating corrective actions as appropriate Developing and implementing the programme's governance framework - in the context of the existing process and methodology which the Press has established (the Change Delivery Framework) Effective co-ordination of the projects and their interdependencies Managing and resolving risks and issues that may arise Maintaining overall integrity and coherence of the programme Managing the programme's budget, monitoring the expenditures and costs against benefits as the programme progresses Facilitating the appointment of individuals to the project delivery teams - including employees of the Press and contract staff Ensuring that the delivery of outputs from the projects meets programme requirements, with appropriate quality, on time and to budget Facilitating the development of the blueprint Managing the blueprint and ensuring that the capabilities delivered are aligned with it Builds a high performing, collaborative delivery teams - co-ordinating work done by directly managed and matrix managed teams Maximising the efficient allocation of resources and skills Managing internal development teams (software delivery centres) and external suppliers to the programme Managing communications with stakeholders Reporting progress of the programme Essential Skills Demonstrable experience of Programme Management as per typical accountabilities / key result areas (see above) Demonstrable experience of delivering publishing, content and business systems - specifically: Enterprise Resource Planning (SAP), Publishing Supply Chain, Reporting BI & Analytics, Content, Subscriptions and Integration Demonstrable experience of working in an agile environment Experience of working in publishing, or related industries Stakeholder management - to C-level Relevant programme management qualification, e.g. Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) Please don't hesistate to get in contact if this role could be of interest.
