Finance Manager - Central Functions This role has some travel between Central London & South West London My Banking Client is looking for a Finance Manager to support the Financial Controller in understanding and the preparation of the Central division's monthly performance and; reporting (to the Division and the Bank), and providing tight financial control over the balance sheet and P&L. Role Responsibilities : You will support the FC in the assessment of accounting standards and their impact on the division. Be a key point of contact for the business, Group Finance, Risk, Compliance, Regulatory Reporting, Accounts Payable and Tax. Support the Financial Planning & Analysis team in the budget and forecast processes as and when required. Manage the recharge process through the Central division with the other finance teams within the Bank Prepare monthly management accounts, including detailed variance analysis with an ability to understand and explain these movements Delivery of monthly, quarterly, half yearly, and year end reporting Deliver on quarterly VAT returns and other tax related activities Own the monthly payroll reconciliation process Contribute to ad-hoc projects working with FP&A and wider Bank Finance team as necessary Continually review existing reporting and make/suggest improvements to the quality of information provided Skills & Experience Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent) You need to have previous team management experience Good technical knowledge gained from an audit background A good track record of delivering effective reporting to tight deadlines Advanced Excel and good IT skills Evidence of taking ownership and making improvements Ability to translate large amounts of data into useful information and actionable items.
