Role Overview: Due to growth, we are recruiting for a mix of data migration, waterfall and Agile, IT Project Managers to join our business in the North West. The successful candidates will own and deliver projects, ensuring that they conform to customer and Sopra Steria time, cost, quality and revenue specifications and escalate any major issues to Sopra Steria management. Essential Skills/experience: Recent and relevant experience of project/portfolio management with a track record of delivering to required standards. At least 3 but typically with 5 years or more years' delivery experience. Experience of managing hybrid development teams, including offshore, dedicated staff, seconded staff, client staff and contractors. Experience of a full project lifecycle, including transition to live service. An achievement orientated, target driven individual with experience of driving teams to meet challenging deadlines. A Professional Project Management Accreditation". ITIL Foundation (desirable). Experience of working in IT Services. Experience of working across multiple industry sectors. Key Responsibilities Understand business requirements and nuances of the project as they relate to relevant sectors, customers and key service offerings. Develop outline project approaches, detailed project plans, cost budgets and time lines that support the Sales, Bid and Delivery teams in developing commercially and contractually viable proposals and assist them in meeting their aims of securing business and meeting customer needs. Ensure that an assigned project is appropriately constructed with well-defined deliverables and work packages and that these are delivered in the timeframe and to the cost budget as set out in the bid approval process and as agreed with the customer. Work with the Sales, Bid, Technical, Finance and Commercial teams to identify and drive the optimum approach and to manage all the commercial elements of the project to an acceptable financial (especially cash flow) profile and contractual basis ensuring all parties have considered and delivered the most efficient and cost appropriate option. Record and deliver customer's quality expectations of an entire project and the constituent deliverables ensuring that realistic project and quality plans are prepared and maintained and that partners, suppliers and team members all understand are committed to and delver to those expectations. Ensure all stakeholders are engaged and remain committed to assigned projects and have complete and continuing awareness of the project plan, key milestones, progress to date and plans to completion, providing regular and accurate reports on progress, issues and plans to relevant senior client and Sopra Steria management and escalating any issues as per defined Escalation Procedures. Identify, assess and manage risks to the success of the project, raising awareness of risks in a timely manner to ensure cost-effective and prompt resolution of issues in strict adherence to Sopra Steria's published Risk Management methods. Ensure effective client engagement and stakeholder management (up to Board Level) by actively representing the project team and Sopra Steria to the client, ensuring that relationships are built and maintained inside the client organization and by ensuring that effective and agreed project governance processes are implemented. Monitor costs, timescales, resources used and the performance of team members and suppliers taking action where these deviate from agreed levels and tolerances and ensuring that client and Sopra Steria managers are provided with status reports as agreed. Promote relevant Sopra Steria solutions and services at every opportunity identifying new and changed customer needs and enabling the customer to see the end-to-end capability of the team and so maximize sales opportunities. Provide input to bids and manage projects in accordance with all relevant company processes, procedures and published best practice, using and championing agreed delivery methodologies and tools. Manage the extended project team, agreeing, driving delivery, reviewing and approving work packages, setting objectives and managing performance so that the team is motivated and encouraged to develop skills and experience in line with project needs. Ensure that projects are formally closed and that end of project and lessons learned reviews are completed in order to ensure that lessons learned are captured and passed to the relevant forum for action.
