The Opportunity A great opportunity for a Head of Operations / Operations Manager to join a prestigious organisation based in the Shropshire region. You will be working under the guidance of the operations controller in preparing and reporting the financial statements and reports conforming to the principles, financial rules and regulations of accounting and regulatory requirements. Accountable for balance sheet analysis including provision calculations and reconciliations. Annual budget and forecast preparation and review. Prepare and organize operational review materials including monthly and quarterly reporting and on-site visits. Report on financial status of operational plant(s) to Division staff on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Special Skills: Comprehensive knowledge of policies, procedures, and practices. Strong analytical skills required. Strong skills and knowledge of accounting theory, application of financial principles (GAAP) & Standard Cost Accounting. Liaison with auditors including internal, external and SOX audits. Project management background is highly beneficial. Strong accounting skills and understanding is required. Must be very detailed oriented and flexible within an ever changing environment. Excellent PC computer skills with advanced Excel spreadsheet experience are required. Excellent communication; strong planning and organization skills.
