Job Purpose The Product Manager will join the recently established Trade Finance Product Team for EMEA. Reporting to the Trade Finance Product Head for EMEA, the Product Manager will be responsible for actively supporting the development, implementation and execution of the EMEA Trade Product Strategy as well as establishing and managing the Product Risk Framework. The role will include liaising with key stakeholders, e.g. Trade Finance Sales, Regional and Head Office Product Teams, Operations, Credit, Compliance and Risk functions among others in order to facilitate the end to end management and enhancement of Product streams. The role will be actively involved in promoting the Trade Finance set of products both internally and externally (industry events, conferences) with the goal of establishing a market leading position in target client segments. Key Responsibilities Assisting the Trade Product Head with day to day activities related to the Product management function including: Product capability/market analysis Process optimisation Platform/Channel roll-out and management Product development and new Product roll-outs Validation and improvement of Management Information reporting Promotion of cross-regional and cross-departmental Product communication channels within the Bank Creation and maintenance of Marketing collateral Management of Product related information repository Working with internal stakeholders on Product related incidents and ad-hoc requests Maintenance of accurate information on the Trade Finance Portal Management of Product Risk Framework in cooperation with internal Risk Functions (e.g. Compliance, Risk, Operations, Credit, Legal) Complying with all bank policies and deliver against statutory, regulatory and legal Obligations Contribution to Trade Finance EMEA P/L objectives and KPIs Work Experience A minimum of 5 years' experience in Product/ Business Management, Operations or Sales within Trade Finance and/or Receivables/Payables Finance. Project Management experience would an advantage. Business consulting experience within Financial Services would be beneficial. Functional/Technical Skills and Knowledge requirements Strong understanding of Trade Finance Products (LCs, SBLCs/Bonds/Guarantees) is essential, in particular a strong understanding of the following: Underlying Rules (UCP, ISP, URDG) Legal/Regulatory frameworks as well as client/facility documentation Product related Risks and Mitigants Credit considerations Capital Treatment of Trade Finance and Payables/Receivable Finance products and Pricing Metrics Open Account Products (i.e. Payables Finance and Receivables Purchase) Good knowledge of end to end Client Implementation and Transaction Management Functions. Understanding of accounting practices related to Trade Finance products would be an advantage. Good understanding of Trade Finance industry trends and development would be beneficial. Proven knowledge of current trends and developments with regards to Digitisation, Automation and Standardisation of Trade Finance products and processes. Established understanding of Bank Payment Obligations (BPOs) would be beneficial. Business Growth Director - Healthcare Location: London Our client is a successful, stable and growing Bank with offices throughout the UK, who are following a strategy of becoming a niche Commercial Bank. Summary of role: This role forms part of the London Region Business Growth Team.
