Divisional Director required with £65m turnover Main Contractor - London Divisional Director / Operations Manager required with Major Works division of a multi-disciplined Main Contractor who turnover circa £65m About the Client: SSA are recruiting on behalf a Main Contractor who are operating throughout the in the London & South East. The company has head offices in North West London and are involved primarily in New Build projects as well as refurbishments in multiple sectors including commercial, retail, industrial and educational projects. They are seeking a Divisional Director to oversee its primary construction division and its current projects as well as developing new business revenue. Projects typically to £20m, they have preference to somebody who has looked after similar/larger sized projects and D&B experience. About the role: Our client is seeking to take on a highly driven and determined Operations Manager to manage/run the Major Works division consisting of New Build / Refurbishment Projects up to £20m in London & South East. Reporting directly into the Construction Director & MD. Ideally you shall be degree qualified or formal qualification with 5 -10 years' experience in a similar role with a recognised contractor in either the general, main contracting or residential sectors. They will also consider strong Contracts Managers who are looking to progress. Duties will include; Managing project staff to establish and maintain highly motivated and dedicated project teams. Monitor site progress and communicate programme and subsequent changes to all affected parties. Intervene and agree action plans to recover delays where possible. Ensure timely request for and delivery of all information that is on the programme. Identify variations to contract that will impact on the programme and ensure programme is revised to accommodate them. Compile such reports as are required to demonstrate progress against programme and budget. Compile procurement schedules and liaise with Senior Buyer re site supply and specialist requirements, specifying deadlines. Ensure enquiries and/or tender packages are sent to sub-contractors and suppliers so that orders can be placed in time to meet programme.
