Our client, a rapidly growing Fintech, is seeking a Financial Controller to oversee the expansion of their Finance function. The company are an innovative, rapidly expanding Travel Media platform who have recently received a large injection of funding. They are focused on the expansive use of technology and are looking to become a major player in the e-commerce marketplace, with plans to float on the stock market in the next few years. The role will be extremely hands-on and will take responsibility for growing out the existing team (currently 3 members), implementing new processes and systems, and ensuring rigorous Financial Control at all times. Our client is headquartered in the US, so an understanding of both IFRS & US GAAP is strongly preferred This will suit someone with an entrepreneurial mindset, who has experience of working both in listed plcs, and in smaller more fluid organizations. An interest in technology, media, e-commerce & travel will be highly advantageous, as will a willingness to work outside of your comfort zone and a drive to improve existing processes. You'll spend time on the following: Direct daily accounting operations including oversight of revenue, credit card processing and payments Play a lead role in the monthly, quarterly and year-end close processes.
