Joining the Digital & Transformation team as a Business Analyst, you'll join a dynamic team working on exciting change across multi-skilled teams with different businesses throughout the UK. As a Business Analyst you'll support the delivery of a large number of high value (£3million-£10million) change initiatives to the Internet Banking platform and the wider bank to realise our vision of being the best bank for our customers. You'll form an integral part of a cross-functional delivery team, taking an active role in establishing and participating in Agile delivery as they transition away from the current Waterfall environment, and you will be key to ensuring they take a customer centric approach to everything. Accountabilities: Proposition development - Critical evaluation of business ideas from a customer and a commercial point of view. Responsible for facilitating the clear articulation of the end to end customer proposition and supporting the development of a detailed benefits case Scope and requirements elicitation; writing and elaborating Epics and Stories - Challenge business stakeholders to drive out the real business outcomes that are required to realise the customer and business propositions; not simply recording requirements Acceptance Criteria - supporting test automation, BDD, TDD, you'll be accountable for capturing acceptance criteria that fulfil the team's definition of "Done" Adopting a service design mentality, responsible for ensuring a balanced and cohesive outcome encompassing customer experience design, operation design and solution design, including the identification and resolution of macro and micro design decisions You'll be working collaboratively with the UX, Architect, Build and QA teams in a transitional Agile/iterative environment set within a broader waterfall context Facilitate managing the product backlog - Work with the Product Owners, Delivery Leads, and the delivery team to ensure consistent understanding of the proposed solution and assist with elaboration, sprint planning activities etc. Stakeholder management - Build strong and productive working relationships with business and senior stakeholders to manage objections and approvals efficiently across the range of product, channel, legal, compliance and fraud stakeholders. Responsible for closing down debate on requirements scope and detail in order to keep the delivery on track Benefits delivery - Developing a full end to end view of the proposition and taking accountability for benefits delivery Experience as a Business Analyst at a mid to senior level with accountability for elaboration, and writing of Epics, Stories and acceptance criteria. You'll be T-shaped and highly collaborative. You'll be well versed in collaboration and DevOps tools like Jira, and have experience of Scrum's discipline and the associated elaboration and estimation techniques. You'll be familiar with BDD, TDD, and construction of supporting Acceptance Criteria. You'll be committed to supporting our practical, quantitative implementation of continuous improvement, having successfully delivered using Agile and hybrid Waterfall/Agile within a large enterprise. Experience in delivering first-class customer experiences across Mobile Apps, Desktop, Tablet and other digital portals will be a bonus. Be able to understand and validate the business case Solid understanding of business analysis methodologies (specifically iterative methods and use cases) and techniques and their practical application. Extensive stakeholder management experience; able to identify key players in delivering the business outcome and to ensure that their needs are fully represented. Ability to facilitate efficient and effective decision making. The project will collate the range of applications and databases where SPI data is held. It will then assess the level of protection against a series of defined controls and identify any gaps that require mitigating action. Follow up actions to improve the protection of the data will be assessed, prioritised and tracked as appropriate. The project will also identify other projects working in this space and identify synergies, overlaps and opportunities to combine objectives and efficiencies. This project was accelerated from 2019 into 2018 to mobilise as soon as possible to address the GDPR compliance concern. Some initial analysis has been performed to confirm the objectives and scope of the project. Two experienced business analysts are required urgently to complete the Define phase and progress delivery of this project. Requirements The BA candidates will require strong relationship building and stakeholder management skills, and the ability to identify stakeholder requirements and priorities to define and achieve project outcomes . This role will involve an extensive range of stakeholders across the business areas as the target areas span bank wide. The BAs will require excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills. They will have demonstrable experience of a large scale delivery requiring Extensive stakeholder management and communication in a regulatory / bank / financial services context. They will have a good understanding of the implications of identifying and tracking data journeys across business processes, and experience of identifying Resolving issues with achieving financial services regulatory guidelines, ideally GDPR legislation. The successful candidate is required to work alongside the Lead Project Manager within a Multifactor and Authentication Project to assist in the delivery of a software rollout.
