Job Details Can you coordinate our financial planning? We're looking for a Finance Manager to partner with the Degree Education & Career Centre, lead the centre's long-term financial planning, and bring it to life. The Role Ready to support success through effective financial management? In this role, you'll provide a full finance business partner service to the Degree Education & Career Centre (DECC), being responsible for leading and coordinating all financial aspects of the School's long-term plan, with associated budgets and forecasts. As Finance Manager, it will be up to you to engage senior managers and other stakeholders with your vision and provide the day-to-day financial support to make sure people are working together to realise your objectives. Bringing business-partnering experience, financial expertise, people skills and genuine passion to our team, you'll influence, inspire and guide the DECC team - and the wider School - to success. Here you'll: * Shape, coordinate and facilitate all financial aspects of the long-term plan * Ensure risk management and opportunity identification are embedded in our processes * Provide financial-skills training and day-to-day support to the DECC management team * Provide clear guidance, instruction and deadlines on the annual budget and quarterly forecast processes * Review progress, flag risks and apply corrective actions as required * Prepare monthly reports for senior managers to support decision making * Build and maintain models to support strategic planning and decision making * Advise on new developments and projects as required * Help continually improve delivery of business partnering services through active learning and development * Maintain a strong awareness of relevant issues to anticipate future financial-reporting needs * Monitor processes, systems and practices and look for areas for improvement.
