Job Title: Commercial Lead/ Head of Business Development - Rehab Location: Birmingham with some travel Salary: £80,000 - £100,000 (negotiable) + Benefits Compass Associates are exclusively partnered with a leading independent health group with services within the hospital and wider healthcare market. My client have recently launched a partnership with one of Europe's leading rehabilitation providers to introduce a large state of the art service in the Birmingham region. The new facilities will utilise state of the art technology to deliver world class care. This large rehab hospital is due to open in early Autumn 2019 and will include provision for private and NHS patients with treatment on site for inpatient and outpatient care. Remit of Role Reporting to the MD, your role will be to drive business development to support the success of this new hospital. This role is integral to the growth of the site. You will have responsibility for driving revenue generation, increasing referrals, contract negotiations and building new relationships with embassies, insurers, medico-legal firms, NHS trusts and local CCG's. In addition you will have responsibility for ensuring commercial viability of all rehab facilities. Essential Experience required Previous experience of business development and tendering in the healthcare sector. A strong background in relationship building and stakeholder engagement. Knowledge of the NHS and key understanding of changes and the potential impact on my client. Previous experience and evidence of successful contract management and negotiation. Strong networking skills Proven commercial and financial acumen. Due to the nature of this role my client require candidates who can demonstrate a proven background of business development in the healthcare sector, you will be a strong relationship builder with excellent leadership and interpersonal skills. You will be an innovative, flexible individual with a drive to be the best. Desirable Experience Previous knowledge and understanding of rehab services and community-based healthcare. An existing network of relationships with commissioners, insurers, medico legal and NHS trusts in the local region.
