Strategic planning expert driving change governance and oversight to a leading Institution in High Wycombe. £250 - £300 + VAT per day Contract (3-months and beyond) High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire UK Your new organisation With a history spanning over 150 years our University has consistently set standards in education that are recognised and respected throughout the world. We are now seeking for a Head of Strategy & Planning to lead on the execution and continuous development of University planning and performance monitoring, supporting the business development work of the Senior Management Team. Your new role As a member of the Strategy and Planning board, you will be instrumental in defining and aligning the various project and programme proposals, whilst ensuring each programme is aligned with the University's strategies. You will report to the Deputy Vice Chancellor and provide practical and pragmatic advice to both the board and to the project managers. This will be achieved by providing market intelligence and performance data. You will need undertake horizon scanning and the assessment of opportunities to develop and present new strategies. This will include producing evidence-based business plans and supporting management for each agreed development project. The projects will vary in size but each campaign will look improve what we do, and how we do it. What you'll need to succeed Your previous experience leading strategic planning using insightful business intelligence, in a Higher Education context, will lead to your success. You will show outstanding stakeholder management and a flair for holding a strategic 'Birds-eye' view on the objectives of operational change, without the distraction of individual project issues or drivers. You will have demonstrable experience of process reengineering, defining and implementing business process maps and change methods. You will be comfortable in key participation and support of initiatives at a board-level and be capable of defining governance, with particular attention to GDPR.
